Boardroom Discussions

Engaging on the Issues

Board room engagement can be made richer by the board routinely asking questions which prompt meaningful discussion and quickly get to the heart of the matter. Generative Inquiry Discussions involve the board creating conversations to explore issues involving ambiguity, uncertainty, deep importance to key stakeholders, conflict and risk. This is the “WHY we do it” discussion.

The Center has identified videos that provide a launching point for these types of engaging conversations.  With each video is a handout that you can use to engage your board. The handout includes a brief outline of key points from the video as well as sample questions to get the ball rolling.
